SASKATOON, SK, Jul 20, 2014/ Troy Media/ – iHome's new iBN26 mini bluetooth speaker System is unique from a lot of the other Bluetooth presenters available. First of all, it's not wireless as well doesn't have an onboard rechargeable life of the battery. Second, at a suggested retail having to do with C$79. 95, it's priced much more lower than lots of the competition. Third, the actual look is distinctive and wanted – it's round and flt, with a nice blonde oak wooden top that makes it a great looking device inside your desk.
Truth be told, it also comes in denims plastic, but without the classic woman of the oak I'd go with any wood top if I were then you.
It requires AC power so you for you to keep it plugged in, but it does hook wirelessly via Bluetooth to your iOS devices.
My test version is blonde oak topped one, and a white metal centre and a rare metal plastic bottom. While I admit whom having to keep it plugged into an ELECTRIC STREAM socket is a bit problematic: as I make use of a ton of stuff already connected my computer room/office and ELECTRIC STREAM plug space is usually at a monthly. Thank goodness for power bars as well UPS's.
The iBN26 looks marvelous, and has a crystal-clear, although not the way bassy as I like, sound. Yet unfortunately best of all, it's a darn good phone.
The speakerphone works seamlessly along with my iPhone, and the conversation will come in very true-to-life and clear. Presenting told that I'm clear while in the other end too, so as far the way I'm concerned this is a device whom deserves some of my precious chair space.
The iBN26 is few. 3cm H x 15. 3cm W x 15. 3cm D and weighs 1 . 02 kg/. The speaker configuration is composed of two 40mm drivers. The Reson8 speaker chambers are designed to offer purity, depth and power, which they provide, but as I said before I love my sound more bassy over music. But I have to stress any more that phone conversations are clearly great.
The iBN26 has a HARDWARE port onboard for charging iOS devices and there are only four and / or on the top to use – power, capacité up and down and play/pause. When using this a speakerphone, the power button greatly improves as the phone button, and play/pause does double duty as the set up button. The back of the iBN26 comes with a input port for the power adapter, your strong audio input, a USB opening used to charge iOS devices very well as a Bluetooth activation button for the first time then you connect to a device.
Pairing is out of date simple: in no time at all you'll be reading your tunes and using the iBN26 as a speakerphone for cell often calls. The integrated mic and iHome's ATI SoundClear voice echo cancelling technology are winners when it comes to supplied clear speakerphone conversations.
I've very fast gotten used to having the iBN26 in the desk and that's where it is going to stay – for a one-person pantomiming like mine, this is a great way to create a speakerphone and a bluetooth mini speaker system in the desk at the same time in the same area.
PROS: Small size; great phone; classy look with the blonde pecan top; decent sound; decent premium; very simple controls.
CONS: Needs to be connected; sound when playing music isnt quite as bassy as I recommend.
TO SUM IT UP: A device that does 2 duty as a very decent phone and a decent stereo system for the house or office office is the kind of device whom I'd like on my desk. Free points for the blonde oak hottest – the iHome iBN26 typically fun, worthwhile device to own.
